Join the conversation and share in the vision as we set our rural communities up to evolve and thrive.
As a result of the ambitious planning and leadership efforts completed by Susan Norris, Heather McWhorter, and the Pierce County Economic Development Council, Pierce County, Madison County, and its member communities have been awarded a Rural Placemaking Innovation Challenge (RPIC) grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The grant will fund the creation of comprehensive plans and strategic plans for each county plus the following communities: Osmond, Plainview, Pierce, Hadar, Tilden, Meadow Grove, Battle Creek, Madison and Newman Grove. These planning documents will be instrumental and essential as we prepare to create plans and strategies that will enable us to reach growth goals over the next 10 years. This includes each county and each community.
Welcome to the project website, we're glad you're here. This site will provide a collective location for all project updates and deliverables.
“This is the trickle-down effect of doing ECAP,” she said. “Activity breeds activity. Once you get going, people come along.”
